Internet Ashes is...
a digital place advocating for a luddite future, a future where computers and other machines are used to the benefit of everybody, rather than just the wealthy and priviliged few.
We advocate for this future through the creation and maintenance of related public discourse, and we do this by doing what the large computer-companies do so well: record, process, and share information.
And while we do what those companies do so well, we'll also do what they do so poorly: care about community. This future can't be achieved by one individual, nor can it be ordered it existence from the top-down.
To achieve this future freed from "big-binary" we must liberate the transistor and bring it into the hands of the masses, un-abstracted by large multi-national corporations.
